About CJ MotorSports

CJ MotorSports new building

CJ MotorSports is located in the Industrial Park just south of Boonville, New York, a town synonymous with snow and snowmobiles. The Bourgeois family created C J MotorSports in July 1997 as a division of C J Logging Equipment. We noticed that our professional chainsaw service declined with the introduction of mechanized logging equipment; so what came naturally was expanding the small engine department to include Kawasaki and BRP recreational products; thus C J MotorSports was created. The Bourgeois family’s passion for motor sports began with Carl J. (C.J.) Bourgeois, a businessman, entrepreneur, and dealer in motorcycles, boats and snowmobiles in Boonville. He sold the first mass-produced Polaris snowmobile in the northeastern United States, the Sno-Traveler/Ranger/Trailblazer K-70 Model C-10, in the fall of 1959. He also sold Rupp, Snowbug, Scorpion and Sno-ro snowmobiles.

RND MAKES REAR AXLE-DRIVEN PROTO DRAG SLED

SHAWN WATLING, Owner of RND Innovators in Canada, has been busy designing and building this RND Drag Sled, which features rear-axle drive.
His project partner, Mark Bourgeois of CJ Motorsports, owns the first prototype and shawn is using Mark's custom Ski-Doo 1200 4-TEC Turbo for power. Shawn showed off some of his chassis and component designs at AmSnow's Super Sled Shootout in September.
Shawn and Mark are planning a trip later this fall to the National Resource Center in Ottawa to have the new sled wind tunnel tested for lift and drag.
In addition, Shawn and RND Innovators is working on an ice oval chasis prototype that Mike VanDolder (two-time Canadian snocross champion) will test and race this winter.
